Laura Trapnell
Consultant Intellectual Property Lawyer

Laura qualified as a solicitor in 1997, originally working in specialist Intellectual Property law firms in Oxford and London. Her expertise covers all aspects of Intellectual Property and Information Technology. She worked on some hugely high profile IT deals for global multinationals before leaving London in order to equip Salisbury and the south with the IP expertise it requires!

Before joining Bonallack & Bishop as a consultant, Laura started up and ran her own niche IP law firm, Trapnells, in Salisbury. She sees the move to B&B as being the next step in raising the profile of Intellectual Property law and by having the B&B team behind her she is aiming to take Tim Bishop’s world domination plans to new levels.

Senior Partner, Bonallack & BishopTim qualified as a solicitor in 1987 originally working in London’s West End, having earlier spent 4 years in the music industry releasing 7 independent dance records and doing various production and session work. Having dismally failed in an attempt at pop stardom he then returned to law, moving to Salisbury in 1996. He went into partnership with Tim Bonallack and the law firm changed its name from Bonallacks to Bonallack & Bishop. Since then Tim has spearheaded the expansion of the firm, seeing it grow by 1000% in the last 13 years.

After spending many years as a specialist childcare solicitor, in October 2007 Tim gave up running a legal caseload to concentrate full-time on business development including developing a new niche practice area in advising on the sale, merger and acquisition of law firms. He has been reponsible for the firm’s take over of 5 law firms in Salisbury and Andover in recent years. He plays a particular role in marketing,  is responsible for major and strategic decisions and now sees himself as an entrepreneur who owns a law firm. Tim has firm plans for continued expansion of the firm in the next five years.
